Music is vital in the life of NewKirk Baptist Church. The Adult Sanctuary Choir leads every Sunday in worship and prepares two major musical presentations each year.
The adult choir rehearses every Wednesday evening from 7:30 until 8:30pm.
Each week in our rehearsals, we work on music for our "Call to Worship", which
is a praise & worship type piece, and we repeat the same piece each Sunday for a
calendar month. We also work on anthems for the current Sunday's service,
and another week or two in advance.
Each Sunday's musical worship experience also includes a solo from one of our
choir members. And from time to time, we feature duets, trios and
quartets.
In addition to the choir and solos, the congregation participates in two hymns
prior to the pastor's message and also during the invitation hymn.
If you can sing, we invite you to come and be a part of our choir as we bring God's Word to the congregation through music.
